In the Quiet of Your Eyes
A Sincere Cherish Poem
In the quiet of your eyes,
I discover a calm I never knew I needed.
No words—just a look,
and by one means or another, the commotion in my intellect fades.
Your hand brushes mine,
not arranged, not perfect—just right.
It’s in the little things—
the way you chuckle when I’m not funny,
the way you remain when I drop apart.
This isn’t a few tall tale love.
It’s genuine. It’s messy.
But it’s ours.
And each time you see at me that way,
I remember—
cherish doesn’t continuously shout.
